Imperative Logistics Group in Atlanta is seeking a Mission Critical & Time-Sensitive Operations Specialist to own end-to-end management of time-critical freight across air, ocean, road, and multimodal solutions.

You will coordinate with carriers and internal teams to meet strict timelines and regulatory requirements, monitor shipments in real time, and use CargoWise One or other TMS to ensure accurate bookings and documentation. The role demands urgency, problem-solving, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in multimodal logistics operations (Air, Ocean, Road, and Expedited Freight).
• Experience handling time-sensitive and mission-critical shipments in relevant industries.
• Familiarity with CargoWise One or similar TMS platforms for booking and tracking.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute time-sensitive shipments across air, ocean, trucking, and multimodal; ensure on-time delivery.
• Oversee expedited, white-glove, and high-priority shipments for critical industries.

This role requires a high degree of urgency, problem-solving, and coordination to ensure freight moves according to required timelines, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSManage and execute time-sensitive shipments across all modes (Air, Ocean, Trucking, and Multimodal), ensuring on-time delivery and operational efficiency.Oversee mission-critical freight operations, including expedited, white-glove, and high-priority shipments for industries requiring immediate logistics solutions.Monitor and track shipments in real time, proactively addressing potential delays and providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and global partners to secure capacity, optimize routing, and mitigate risks related to disruptions.Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Compliance, and Warehouse teams) to ensure seamless freight movement and adherence to customer SLAs.Utilize CargoWise One (preferred) or other TMS systems for booking, tracking, and managing shipment documentation.Handle project cargo and oversized freight movements, ensuring compliance with regulations, special handling requirements, and customer specifications.Analyze and optimize processes to improve response time, reduce transit delays, and enhance operational efficiencies for time-critical shipments.Support after-hours and weekend coverage as needed for urgent shipments requiring 24/7 oversight.undefinedQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS5-7+ years of experience in multimodal logistics operations (Air, Ocean, Road, Project, and Expedited Freight).Experience managing time-sensitive and mission-critical shipments in industries such as automotive, aerospace, healthcare, or energy.Familiarity with CargoWise One or similar TMS platforms for booking, tracking, and operational workflows (preferred).Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.Experience handling project cargo and oversized freight is a strong plus.Excellent communication and coordination skills to engage with carriers, customers, and internal teams effectively.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where rapid responses and critical decision-making are required.
