Job description

Join to apply for the Logistics Coordinator II role at RWI Logistics LLC.

This position delivers outstanding customer service while collaborating effectively as part of a team. Adheres to guidance provided by the Operations Manager to meet customer needs by utilizing our processes and technology to enhance efficiency. Superior operational execution will positively influence our customer's supply chain through resolving issues related to scheduling, carrier compliance, and general exception management.

Duties And Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  1. Customer-Focused Execution: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering service excellence through accurate, timely, and efficient execution of logistics activities in alignment with customer specifications and expectations.
  2. Operational Execution and Customer Load Management: Manage and enter customer load data in the Transportation Management System (TMS). Ensure timely and accurate updates on load statuses and provide documentation for communication to stakeholders.
  3. Communication and Escalation: Actively communicate relevant information to customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Implement corrective actions and escalate service issues proactively.
  4. Scheduling and Load Coordination: Handle scheduling, rescheduling, and coordination of all pick-up and delivery appointments. Communicate changes proactively to prevent disruptions.
  5. Driver and Carrier Coordination: Provide routing instructions and assist with driver activities. Communicate with carriers on detention and accessorials.
  6. Exception and Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scheduling, compliance, or delivery exceptions. Escalate complex issues when necessary.
  7. Operational Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Document discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  8. Financial and Load Closure Verification: Confirm data and financial details before marking loads as delivered. Support billing accuracy.
  9. Freight Claims and OS&D Investigation: Document overage, shortage, and damage claims. Coordinate next steps with stakeholders.
  10. Route Planning (After-Hours): Conduct route and load planning based on customer requirements and managerial guidance. Consolidate orders and identify new carriers.
  11. Spot Load Execution: Occasionally execute recovery/exception spot loads and source trucks and carriers.
  12. Other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications

To perform successfully, candidates should have:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn company-specific software. Proficient in TMS use.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Dedicated to providing outstanding service.

This position is performed in a general office setting.
