Job summary

Four Hands, an Austin-based furniture design and wholesale company, seeks a Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and logistics operations. You will manage communications, documentation, and collaboration with carriers, brokers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment processing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or supply chain, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage shared logistics inboxes and communication channels, ensuring requests are reviewed, prioritized, and resolved within established timelines
• Create, review, and distribute transportation documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipment paperwork, and related logistics documents
• Prepare and maintain export documentation and shipping records to support domestic and international shipments
• Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, brokers, and external partners to ensure shipping documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timelines
• Coordinate daily communication between internal departments, external customers, carriers, and logistics partners to support operational continuity
• Maintain accurate and organized logistics documentation, shipment records, and supporting paperwork across internal systems
• Analyze shipment exceptions, discrepancies, service failures, and coordinate resolution across carriers, brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders
• Track open requests and follow through to completion, proactively communicating updates, delays, and escalations to appropriate stakeholders
• Evaluate transportation requirements and coordinate appropriate routing and service solutions within established business parameters
• Professionally engage with external customers and carriers to resolve issues, provide updates, and maintain positive working relationships
• Prioritize multiple operational requests simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, sales support/customer service, and other operational teams to support business objectives
• Identify recurring logistics issues and evaluate root causes, and recommend process improvements
• Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing and resolving transportation issues based on business impact, customer requirements, cost, service risk, and urgency
• Serve as a logistics subject-matter resource to internal stakeholders, providing recommendations regarding transportation options, routing options, and exception management
• Own assigned logistics workflows and exceptions from identification through resolution, determining when issues can be independently resolved and when escalation or management approval is warranted
• Support reporting, data entry, and system updates to maintain operational visibility and documentation accuracy
• Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications
