Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage shared logistics inboxes and communications, ensuring timely review and resolution.
  • Create, review and distribute transportation documents including Bills of Lading and related paperwork.
  • Prepare export documentation and shipping records for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, brokers and external partners to ensure documentation is complete and timely.
  • Track shipments and communicate updates, delays, and escalations to stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency.

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting daily transportation and logistics operations through effective communication, documentation management, and cross-functional coordination. This position is responsible for managing logistics-related communications, maintaining accurate operational records, and ensuring the timely resolution of requests from internal stakeholders, external customers, carriers, brokers, and logistics partners. The role supports efficient freight movement by coordinating documentation, shipment activities, and operational workflows while ensuring compliance with established company procedures and transportation requirements.

In This Role
  • Manage sharedlogisticsinboxes and communication channels, ensuring requests are reviewed, prioritized, and resolved within established timelines
  • Create, review, and distribute transportation documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipment paperwork, and relatedlogisticsdocuments
  • Prepare andmaintainexport documentation and shipping records to support domestic and international shipments
  • Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, brokers, and external partners to ensure shipping documentation is completed accurately andsubmittedwithin required timelines
  • Coordinate daily communication between internal departments, external customers, carriers, andlogisticspartners to support operational continuity
  • Maintainaccurateand organizedlogisticsdocumentation, shipment records, and supporting paperwork across internal systems
  • Analyze shipment exceptions, documentation discrepancies, service failures, and operational constraints; determineappropriate corrective actions and coordinate resolution across carriers, brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Track open requests and follow through to completion, proactively communicating updates, delays, and escalations to appropriate stakeholders
  • Evaluate transportation requirements and coordinate appropriate routing and service solutions within established business parameters, considering customer requirements, capacity, service needs, and operational constraints
  • Professionally engage with external customers and carriers to resolve issues, provide updates, and maintain positive working relationships
  • Prioritize multiple operational requests simultaneously whilemaintaininga high levelof accuracy and responsiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally withlogistics, warehouse,sales support/customerservice, and other operational teams to support business objectives
  • Identify recurring logistics issues and service challenges, evaluate root causes, and recommend process or workflow improvements that enhance operational efficiency and service levels
  • Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing and resolving transportation issues based on business impact, customer requirements, cost, service risk, and operational urgency
  • Serve as a logistics subject-matter resource to internal stakeholders, providing recommendations regarding transportation options, shipment requirements, routing options, and exception management
  • Own assigned logistics workflows and exceptions from identification through resolution, determining when issues can be independently resolved and when escalation or management approval is warranted
  • Support reporting, data entry, and system updates tomaintainoperational visibility and documentation accuracy
