Job summary

Takasago International Corporation U S A is seeking a Logistics Coordinator 1 in Teterboro, NJ to handle transportation planning and documentation for domestic and international shipments. This role prioritizes safety, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include coordinating freight movements, working with freight forwarders, tracking shipments, and preparing quotes while ensuring compliance with DOT, IMO, and IATA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Two or more years of experience in logistics, transportation planning, freight coordination, or a related supply chain role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Hazardous materials certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic freight movements from planning through delivery, including preparation of shipping documentation.
• Partner with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers to manage international shipments and customs clearance.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure delivery commitments and carrier service levels.
• Build relationships with carriers and logistics partners while balancing service and cost.
• Prepare freight-rate quotations and respond to inquiries related to transportation options and costs.
