Job summary

DeWitt Transportation Services of Guam is seeking a capable Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator to prepare regulatory documentation, coordinate drivers and equipment, and monitor shipments through Guam ports. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication with warehouses, steamship lines, and customers.

You will maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency by identifying improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2–4 years of related field experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and process documentation for CBP, Guam Customs, Port Authority and other agencies.
  • Dispatch drivers and equipment to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor container arrivals, holds, inspections, and releases; coordinate resolutions.
  • Schedule container pickups and deliveries; communicate with warehouses, drivers, steamship lines, terminals and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment activity, documents, delivery receipts, inspection reports and files.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, safety requirements, and procedures.
  • Communicate delays and scheduling changes to management, customers and affected departments.
  • Prepare daily operational, dispatch and customs clearance reports.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies and operational issues promptly.
  • Support warehouse and operations staff to maintain workflow.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and company records.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description

  • Prepare, submit, and process documentation required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Guam Customs, Port Authority, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Dispatch drivers and equipment efficiently to maximize productivity and meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Monitor container arrivals, customs hold, inspections, and releases, and coordinate resolution of clearance issues.
  • Schedule container pickups and deliveries while maintaining communication with warehouse personnel, drivers, steamship lines, terminals, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment activity, customs documentation, delivery receipts, inspection reports, and operational files.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, government regulations, safety requirements, and transportation procedures.
  • Communicate operational delays, service disruptions, and scheduling changes promptly to management, customers, and affected departments.
  • Prepare daily operational, dispatch, and customs clearance reports for management review.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies, customer concerns, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support warehouse and operations personnel as needed to maintain workflow and meet business objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and company records.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office; Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment; computer, printer/copier, fax, postage machine and phone systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in related field
