• Mise à jour des données d'expédition dans le TMS.

Job description

Sethmar Transportation, LLC seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator specializing in chassis operations. This role supports daily brokerage activities by coordinating container movements, chassis procurement, and drayage services across ports, rail ramps, and customer facilities. The ideal candidate has experience with port and terminal logistics, understands chassis pools and availability, and can manage multiple time-sensitive shipments.

What we are looking for this role to do :

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Coordinate container pickups and deliveries involving port terminals, rail ramps, and customer locations.
• Secure chassis through leasing companies or pools (e.g., DCLI, TRAC, Flexi-Van) and ensure appropriate equipment is available.
• Communicate with drayage carriers to dispatch trucks, track loads, and manage transit timelines.
• Track container availability, Last Free Day (LFD), demurrage / detention, and chassis per diem to minimize extra charges.
• Update and maintain accurate shipment data in the TMS, including container numbers, chassis details, and appointment schedules.
• Collaborate with import / export teams, steamship lines, and terminal operators to ensure cargo flows smoothly.
• Monitor port congestion, terminal restrictions, and chassis shortages; provide proactive solutions to avoid delays.
• Assist in resolving service failures, carrier issues, or customer complaints with a focus on operational recovery.
• Generate and process documents such as delivery orders, BOLs, and proof of delivery (POD).

Work closely with brokers and account managers to align logistics execution with customer expectations.

Requirements

What you need to bring to the table :

• 2+ years of logistics or transportation experience, preferably in chassis coordination.
• Strong knowledge of port and rail operations, including terminals like [e.g., LA / LB, NY / NJ, Savannah].
• Experience working with chassis pools, carrier dispatch, and equipment control.
• Familiarity with steamship line portals and terminal systems
• Ability to interpret and manage free time deadlines, per diem charges, and port fees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Remains positive and flexible in an ever-changing environment with shifting priorities
• Detail oriented with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
