Job summary

MODE Global is seeking an Account Manager to optimize freight moves and margins across North America. You will dispatch carriers, track shipments, generate client reports, and manage invoicing, ensuring timely, accurate order entry across multiple channels.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of brokerage or transportation experience, superb communication skills, and a proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous brokerage-related or transportation-related experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience managing/prioritizing own work assignments, and meeting deadlines.
• Requires confidence and independent decision-making to problem-solve with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain solid professional relationships with vendors, negotiate for cost-effective services, and support them with operational processes.
• Research and quote transportation costs.
• Collaborate with Business Development to onboard new clients and lanes with notifications, reporting, accessorial agreements and invoicing.
• Ensure carrier performance and event compliance according to Mode standards.
• Identify and prioritize problems and make suggestions to correct the situation.
• Develop and execute timely resolutions to transit delays and notify clients of issues.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely client order acceptance/entry via EDI, web tender, email, fax, or phone.
• Work with team to determine cost-effective recovery plans for missed pick-ups/deliveries.
• Identify accessorial charge patterns and communicate charges within 24 hrs.
