Job description

Job Purpose

The Logistics Coordinator receives, schedules, and updates truck orders for K‑Five Construction using the FleetWatcher software system. This role primarily works the 2nd shift to support longer workdays and evening trucks, with some overnight shifts required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain driver shifts in online software system.
• Process, analyze, and review reports for driver efficiency and shift.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatching drivers and vehicles to appropriate locations.
• Communicate changes in daily work schedules to appropriate contacts.
• Coordinate and communicate truck breakdown issues, schedule changes, and weather-related cancellations to appropriate contacts.
• Relay messages and information to and from crews, supervisors, and inspectors as needed.
• Monitor vehicle insurance cards and valid driver badges.
• Work with accounting for timesheet problems.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 1-3 years of similar experience in trucking or a related role.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and data reporting software.
• Understanding of DOT and state regulations for height and weight maximums.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task within a fast‑paced environment.
• Skilled at analyzing complex data and identifying discrepancies.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Solid problem‑solving skills and ability to maintain a collaborative approach.

Working Conditions

Employee will be working in a shop environment and may be required to attend off‑site meetings or site visits occasionally.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit; occasionally walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
