Job summary

NFI is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for the 2nd shift to provide direction across the Dedicated Fleet operation and support the Project Manager. You will manage load planning, driver scheduling, dispatch, data entry in TMW, and coordination with invoicing to keep weekly customer invoices on track, while maintaining strong driver relations and safety compliance.

This role requires 2–3 years in logistics, proficiency with MS Office and TMW, excellent communication, multitasking, and flexibility

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation.
• Experience with MS Office and TMW preferred.
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision making.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask.
• Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive and encouraging relations with drivers.
• Communicate service issues to appropriate personnel and customers.

• Enter data into NFI’s order-management system, TMW.

• Provide weekly KPI/performance data reports.
• Coordinate daily scheduling of truck and trailer maintenance.
• Work with safety on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues.
• Assist Project Manager with Safety, Security and Labor policies.
• Provide coverage across departments during vacations, holidays.
• Manage and maintain driver payroll.
• Audit and approve driver expense reports.
• Provide assistance to Project Manager as needed.

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

This is a 2nd shift position

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (NFI) and external (Customer)
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Coordinates daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management-system, TMW.
• Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assists Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
• Manages and maintains driver payroll
• Audits and approves driver expense reports
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed
