Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Sunnyvale, CA / Burlingame, CA to own PO management end-to-end, coordinate across procurement, vendors, and logistics, and drive improvements in the material flow for hardware components.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in logistics or operations management, with experience in hardware or robotics environments and familiarity with Oracle, Salesforce GTM, and SQL. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to impact Fortune 500 projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders and procurement workflows end-to-end.
• Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments.
• Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components.
• Reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End PO Management: Own and track purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise between Procurement, vendors, and Logistics Operations for seamless handoffs.
• Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance and drive issue resolution to maintain material flow.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the PO-to-delivery pipeline and implement improvements.
• Strategic Project Leadership: Lead logistics-related projects supporting Robotics priorities and scaling programs.
• Reporting & Visibility: Maintain dashboards and provide status updates on PO health and timelines.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to protect delivery schedules.

About the Role

• Role: LogisticsSpecialist
• Location: Sunnyvale,CA/ Burlingame, CA

Key Responsibilities

• • End-to-End PO Management: Own and track purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring on-time performance and proactively escalating risks or delays.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, vendors, and Logistics Operations to ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication at every stage.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance against delivery commitments, flag issues early, and drive resolution to maintain material flow.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the PO-to-delivery pipeline and implement improvements that accelerate material movement and reduce cycle times.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead logistics-related projects that support Robotics organization priorities — including new supplier onboarding, warehouse/routing optimization, and scaling logistics for new programs.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Maintain accurate tracking dashboards and provide regular status updates to stakeholders on PO health, delivery timelines, and project milestones.
  • Risk Mitigation: Anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to protect delivery schedules.

Years of experience:

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders and/or procurement workflows end-to-end
• Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments
• Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components
• Reporting and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Dangerous goods experience
• Experience with Oracle, GTM Salesforce, SQL
• Experience with Asia to US supply chain

Salary and Other Compensation
