Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in San Francisco is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of customers’ goods, perform data entry, and provide expert customer service. You will issue documents for the shipping process and advise on delivery terms.

The role requires 1–5 years in international logistics, experience with air and ocean freight, and strong communication skills. US work authorization is required; knowledge of Cargo Wise is a plus.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• 1–5 years in International Logistics.
• Experience in Air Freight and Ocean Freight Services.
• DCSA T3 Clearance preferred; requires process after hire.
• Government contracts and ITAR experience required.
• Proven track record in customer service.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentations).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams.
• Knowledge of Cargo Wise system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movements of domestic, export and import shipments to meet service commitments.
• Prepare, issue and submit shipping documents; advise on terms of delivery, payment, insurance, and freight services.
• Ensure invoices are completed accurately and timely per policy.

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Location: San Francisco, California

We have an exciting opportunity for a LOGISTICS COORDINATOR who will be responsible for coordinating the movement of customers’ goods, data entry and customer service. In addition, you will prepare, issue and submit documents necessary to complete the shipping process and provide clients with advice concerning terms of delivery. The position will be in our San Francisco DHL Global Forwarding facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination between all applicable parties for domestic, export & import shipments while ensuring service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives.
• Prepare, issue and submit documents necessary to complete the shipping process and provide clients with advice concerning terms of delivery, payment, insurance and all other freight services.
• Ensure that invoices for the services rendered are completed accurately and, in a timeframe, consistent with company policy.
• Tracking, tracing and document imaging functions.
• Customer service and updating of customer profiles.
• Data entry utilizing many software systems

Skills / Requirements

• US Citizen - Mandatory
• 1-5 years in International Logistics
• Experience is Air Freight and Ocean Freight Services
• Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency T3 Clearance (DCSA) preferred but will need to go through application process once hired.
• Government contracts and ITAR experience required
• Proven track record in customer service
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook, Teams)
• Knowledge of Cargo Wise system is plus

Pay Range: $28.64 - $38.19 / hour (commensurate with experience)
