Job summary

KPRS Construction is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to optimize freight movement across regional and national carriers. You will dispatch trucks, schedule drivers, and coordinate back-hauls while ensuring DOT and safety compliance.

This hybrid role in Pittsburgh requires strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work with ERP systems and a Transportation Management System; Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in transportation or logistics.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and Oracle is a plus.
• DOT compliance knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch carrier trucks, schedule and route drivers, cover back-hauls, and discuss delivery services with internal customers.
• Ensure the most efficient freight movement and cost-effective service by coordinating with multiple business units.
• Coordinate drivers locally and across the country with accuracy and excellent service.

## Logistics CoordinatorApply: Hybrid: Pittsburgh, PA: Full time: Posted Yesterday: REQ03177## Job Responsibilities* Dispatch carrier trucks, schedule and route drivers, cover back-hauls, and discuss delivery services with internal customers* Responsible for ensuring the most efficient freight movement and cost-effective service by working with multiple business units to centralize third party trucking movements* Ability to coordinate drivers locally and across the country with accuracy, respect, and excellent service* Responsible to ensure compliance with DOT, Safety regulations and Responsible Care requirements* Responsible to meet on-time performance requirements* Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism by working with a team and independently* Maintain proper and up-to-date files on carriers* Ability to quickly learn and train internal customers and external vendors on Transportation Management System* Develop requests for proposals for truck shipments for various segments of the business.
