Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to issue and track work orders, ensuring units are supplied according to the production schedule and to expedite deliveries.

You will collaborate with the sales team across locations, arrange pickups, verify shipping documents, and update ERP/WMS systems while maintaining inventory accuracy and timely communication with vendors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Issue and track work orders to align with production schedule.

Description

As the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for issuing and tracking work orders and ensuring that required units are supplied according to the production schedule. You will also be responsible for expediting and prioritising work orders and coordinating and managing the production schedule.

• You will be trained with our computer system, our procedures, and our sales philosophy.
• You will work in conjunction with the sales team and the sales personnel at all of our other locations and operations.
• Works with sales team and dispatchers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
• Stage and check orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipping.
• Arranges the transfer of material from different locations to fulfill customer orders.
• Orders and receives stock and special-order materials for production.
• Receive PO's.
• Work closely with the Mill Division Manager.
• Schedule, route, and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries
• Prepare and verify shipping papers, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
• Resolve delivery delays, damaged goods, routing errors, or holdups
• Update inventory records, logs, and databases in enterprise software like ERP or WMS platforms.
• Update internal teams, vendors, and clients on shipment statuses and delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Pass background check, drug screen and have a valid driver's license

Working Conditions

Woodworking mill / Door Shop environment involving lifting above the shoulder, walking, bending, standing, and carrying of product, heavy lifting required, exposure to very hot and cold weather.
