Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support daily operations at a Griffin, GA facility. You will handle inventory, shipping, receiving, and testing of parts and tools within Ramco systems, coordinating with field bases and vendors to meet tight timelines.

The role requires aviation logistics experience, forklift capability, and strong organization. You will contribute to 6S lean initiatives and ensure compliance with FAA and safety standards while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years aviation/parts/logistics operations experience.
• Forklift operation ability and OSHA cert test readiness.

Job description

• Support daily Logistics Center operations and field aircraft operations
• Pick, ship, receive, store, and test inventory and special tools to and from vendors or field bases
• Process Ramco-generated Material Movement Documents for aircraft parts, goods, and supplies
• Schedule high-priority counter-to-counter shipments with carriers and ensure delivery by requested due dates
• Request and adhere to departmental budgets for office and shipping supplies
• Follow budgetary guidelines for freight and material movement expenses
• Adhere to FAA, SOX, and DOD regulations and maintain a safe, neat, organized Logistics Center
• Conduct scheduled inventory cycle counts and monitor labeling, bin assignments, and inventory movement
• Conduct audits at base locations as needed
• Receive aircraft parts, goods, and supplies from approved vendors in Ramco software
• Coordinate with buyers and repair coordinators to obtain traceability and serviceability documentation
• Drive to parcel sort centers, airports, or bases to hand-deliver AOG components to mechanics when needed
• Enter data into Ramco Aviation Software Systems
• Perform inventory counts and bay maintenance; identify root causes of discrepancies
• Follow the Air Methods Safety Management System and participate in the 6S lean initiative
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and one to three years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum two years of aviation and/or parts/logistics operations experience
• Ability to operate a forklift and pass a certification of operation test after initial OSHA training
• Problem-solving skills and ability to count
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to drive at night for AOG on-call requirements
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, prioritization, and business decision-making ability
