Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled aircraft maintenance technician to service Bell 429 and PC-12 aircraft in the Farmington, NM area. You will perform inspections, repairs, and ongoing documentation in accordance with FARs, ADs, SBs, and manuals, while supporting the company's Safety Management System.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, an FAA A&P license, and the ability to read 337s and service directives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 2–5 years of related experience or training.
  • FAA A&P License in good standing.
  • Experience or training in electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand 337s, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and similar documents.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Ability to use manuals and navigate vendor data.
  • Ability to learn and use Ramco ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on Bell 429 and PC-12 aircraft and related articles.
  • Inspect and repair aircraft/components per procedures, ADs, SBs, manuals, and regs.
  • Verify part numbers/serial numbers during installation/removal.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with FARs and manuals.
  • Participate in Safety Management System improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, professional work area.
  • Advise Pilot in Command of issues that could take aircraft out of service.
  • Manage parts requests and inventory.
  • Travel as needed for Part 135 operations (approx. 25–50%).

Job description

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company-operated Bell 429 and PC-12 aircraft and related articles
  • Perform aircraft and component inspections and repairs according to maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, Federal Aviation Regulations, and applicable manuals
  • Verify component and assembly part numbers and serial numbers against associated documentation during installation or removal
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals
  • Participate in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company's Safety Management System
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area
  • Correct compliance or safety issues when directed by operational, maintenance, safety, or mechanic leadership
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service
  • Validate or confirm aircraft status report data
  • Request aviation parts and supplies and maintain an adequate, orderly inventory
  • Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • FAA A&P License in good standing
  • Experience or training in electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand 337s, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and similar documents
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Ability to use electronic or paper-based manuals and navigate vendor data
  • Ability to learn and use the Company's ERP system (Ramco)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing requirements
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Must live within an hour of the base
  • Timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Ability to travel periodically in support of Part 135 operations; estimated travel 25–50%
  • Factory airframe/power plant school training preferred
  • FAR 135 operations experience preferred
  • RAMCO experience preferred
