Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and alterations on company-operated aircraft. You will verify parts, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with FARs and company policies.

Qualified candidates hold an FAA A&P license in good standing and ideally IA certification, with strong hands-on experience in sheet metal, electrical troubleshooting, and vibration-balancing. On-call rotation and ongoing training are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 2–5 years related experience or training.
  • FAA A&P License in good standing.
  • Ability to read/understand 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, and related docs.
  • Proficiency with Ramco ERP and MS Office suite.
  • DOT/FAA drug/alcohol testing may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft.
  • Inspect aircraft and components per procedures, ADs, bulletins, and FARs.
  • Verify part numbers/serials against documentation.
  • Complete maintenance documentation per FARs and company procedures.
  • Mentor/train less experienced mechanics.
  • Provide on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job description

• Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft and articles
• Perform aircraft and component inspections and repairs according to maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and Federal Aviation Regulations
• Verify component and assembly part numbers and serial numbers against associated documentation
• Complete aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals
• Participate in the company Safety Management System continuous improvement phase and follow SMS policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and professional work area
• Correct compliance or safety issues when directed by designated operations, maintenance, safety, or pilot leaders
• Advise the Pilot in Command of maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service
• Validate or confirm aircraft status-report data
• Request aviation parts and supplies and maintain an adequate, orderly inventory
• Use the Ramco EAP system to accurately account for time on task
• Identify parts, tools, and supplies needed for non-routine discrepancies
• Perform maintenance on 145 shop support equipment
• Mentor and train less experienced mechanics
• Participate in 145 shop LEAN process improvements
• Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
• Maintain regular scheduled attendance

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • FAA A&P License in good standing
  • Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, and related documents
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Efficient use of electronic or paper-based manuals and vendor data
  • Ability to learn and use the Company’s ERP system (Ramco)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
  • Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
  • FAR 135 operations preferred
  • RAMCO experience preferred
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
