Jobtailor is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance professional to perform maintenance, inspections, and alterations on company-operated aircraft, ensuring compliance with FARs and directives.

You will diagnose electrical issues, perform sheet metal and composite repairs, manage maintenance documentation, and travel 25–50% to support Part 135 operations.

Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license in good standing is required.
  • Rotor experience for the base is mandatory.
  • 2–5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience.
  • FAR 135 operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to read 337s, SBs, ADs and similar documents.
  • Proficiency with Ramco and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company-operated aircraft and articles.
  • Inspect and repair aircraft and components per maintenance procedures, ADs, and directives.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers against documentation after installation/removal.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation according to FARs and company policies.
  • Advise Pilot in Command of maintenance issues that could take aircraft out of service.

Job description

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on company-operated aircraft and articles
  • Inspect and repair aircraft and components according to maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Verify component and assembly part numbers and serial numbers against associated documentation after installation or removal
  • Complete aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals
  • Participate in the company’s Safety Management System continuous improvement phase (level 4)
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area
  • Correct compliance or safety issues when directed by authorized operations, maintenance, pilot, safety, or lead personnel
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service
  • Validate or confirm aircraft status report data
  • Request aviation parts and supplies and maintain an adequate, orderly inventory
  • Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • Must have rotor experience for this base
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 to 5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience required
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
  • FAR 135 operations preferred
  • Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, and similar documents
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Proficiency using electronic or paper-based manuals and vendor data
  • Ability to learn and use the Company’s ERP system (Ramco)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong communication, creativity, problem-solving, multitasking, and teamwork abilities
  • FAA A&P License in good standing required
  • Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing
  • Regular scheduled attendance required
  • Timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Ability to travel periodically in support of Part 135 operations; expected travel is 25–50%
