Job summary

SSA Careers is hiring a Logistics Coordinator in Arkansas to coordinate rail and truck shipments in support of customer supply chains.

You will operate the SSA WMS, assist with boxcar ordering, schedule loading at ports and terminals, and provide timely shipment status reports while delivering strong customer service and backup support to teammates.

Strong communication and Excel/Word skills are essential for accuracy and efficiency in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years logistics experience in breakbulk cargo, marine/rail/rail and truck transportation or warehousing.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Proficient in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rail and truck shipment planning with ports/terminals and trans-loaders.
• Operate the SSA WMS for shipment scheduling and posting of completed shipments.
• Assist with boxcar ordering and monitor inbound reports.
• Schedule vehicle loading at ports/terminals, trans-loaders, and monitor fulfillment.
• Way-billing of railcars.
• Shipment status reporting and inventory reconciliation as assigned.
• Provide customer service responses for incoming calls.
• Provide backup and support to other Logistics Coordinators on an as-needed basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the rail and truck shipments in connection with port/terminal operations and in support of customer supply chain requirements.

• Coordinate rail and truck shipment planning and scheduling with ports/terminals and trans-loaders in collaboration and in support of customer wood pulp supply chains.


• Operate the SSA Warehouse Management System (WMS) in support of shipment scheduling and posting of completed shipments.


• Assist with boxcar ordering and monitor inbound reports.


• Schedule vehicle loading at ports/ terminals, trans-loaders, and monitor fulfillment.


• Way-billing of railcars.


• Shipment status reporting, shipment documentation, inventory reconciliation as assigned, and reporting.


• Provide customer service responses for incoming calls.


• Provide backup and support to other Logistics Coordinators on an as-needed basis.


• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• 3+ years of logistics experience in breakbulk cargo/marine terminal operations/rail and truck transportation/or warehousing/distribution.


• Experience and proficiency with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).


• Must be proficient in Excel and Word.


• Excellent communication skills, including the composition of memos, draft letters, and communicating effectively on the phone and in person.

Pay Range: $16.23 - 20.29 per hour

The posted compensation range is based on the applicable geographic market for the position and may vary depending on factors such as related experience and skill set. Final compensation will be determined based on these items and other relevant factors.
