Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Prior experience working with Microsoft Office software applications.
• Basic math aptitude.
• Prior working experience with freight companies, specifically their rules and regulations.
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written communications.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers.
• Friendly and helpful communication with internal and external customers.
• Able to multitask and work independently.
• Robust attention to detail, especially with data entry and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Enter applicable freight charges from order entry information for previous day's shipments and initiates invoices to accounting department.
• Work with Manufacturing and Sales Personnel to arrange for and expedite shipments of customer orders.
• Prepares Shipping documents from copies of Sales Orders as they are turned in from production.
• Arrange shipments of outbound freight, working with freight carriers and freight forwarders to obtain optimal price and service.
• Prepares UPS parcels and maintains applicable logs.
• Prepares Customs paperwork for International shipments.
• Loads and unloads freight as needed to help with receiving and loading goods.
• Executes any and all further tasks as requested by Management.
