Job summary

Shyft Global Services in Groveport, OH, is seeking a Prep Desk Specialist to coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order processing within our Logistics Center. You will analyze workflows, resolve system discrepancies in WMS (SAP-WMS), and partner with teams to improve labor utilization and productivity while meeting accuracy and attendance standards.

This role requires adaptability to changing priorities and precise record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a high-volume warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP-WMS, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple functions within the Logistics Center, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Review, prioritize, and release work assignments to maximize operational efficiency.
• Monitor daily order processing activities and identify opportunities to improve workflow.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve order, inventory, and system discrepancies.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory variances to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform system transactions within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support inventory accuracy.
• Analyze workflows and recommend improvements to maximize labor utilization and productivity.
• Collect, maintain, and analyze operational data and performance metrics.
• Participate in inventory audits, cycle counts, and other inventory-related activities.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the facility and across the logistics network.
• Serve as a resource for resolving complex operational issues.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and solutions to appropriate teams and leadership.
• Meet established attendance, punctuality, and productivity standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
