Harvest Food Group is seeking a Logistics Specialist in East Chicago, IN to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for manufacturing, warehouses, and customer fulfillment. You will tender loads, track shipments, and manage exceptions to ensure timely, accurate freight movement.

The role requires strong organization, calm communication, and a focus on solutions. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, distribution, or related role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) and ability to learn TMS.

Responsibilities

• Tender loads to carriers and coordinate with internal partners.
• Track shipments and manage exceptions to keep freight moving.
• Schedule inbound/outbound appointments and support warehouse/shipping.
• Maintain accurate shipment data and provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
• Support carrier rate requests and provide administrative documentation.
