Job summary

Harvest Food Group LLC in East Chicago, IN is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage inbound and outbound transportation, tender loads, and monitor shipments. You will coordinate with carriers, Customer Service, Shipping, Warehouse and Production, maintaining records to ensure on-time freight movement.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of adapting to change, and focused on solutions and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or related operations.
• Experience coordinating time-sensitive tasks and communicating with carriers or cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn TMS.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Tender loads to approved carriers and coordinate pickup/delivery dates.
• Track shipments from tender to closeout and update milestones.
• Schedule inbound/outbound appointments and coordinate dock readiness.
• Communicate with carriers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in MercuryGate and other systems.
