Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• AS400, EDI and Freight websites proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an accurate customer contact list.
• Inputs load information to Fleet Managers and Drivers.
• Solicits freight to achieve capacity/demand balance and maximize revenues.
• Schedules and re-schedules loads to maximize efficiencies and revenues.
• Matches demand with current and future capacity with safety considerations.
• Resolves service issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Manages and monitors load progress to prevent problems and maximize revenue.
• Communicates with Fleet Management to meet customer expectations.
• Communicates with the Customer Service Manager about concerns and volume changes.
• Monitors and utilizes trailer pools, as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
