Job summary

Smith+Nephew's Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Associate to oversee shipping/outbound distribution, receiving, storing and issuing materials, including raw materials, MRO, WIP and finished goods.

You will ensure accurate inventory, ERP updates, and adherence to SOPs, while coordinating with carriers and internal teams to keep supply flowing. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of FEDEX, UPS and other online systems used in shipping processes.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to initiate and retrieve tracking information from carrier.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under SOPs/specifications.
• Stage incoming raw materials for further processing.
• Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP system.
• Relocate staged and quarantined materials to appropriate areas, as directed.
• Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by performing adjustments to documents and ERP.
• Perform housekeeping as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Logistics Associate is responsible for shipping/outbound distribution, receiving, storing, handling and or issuing all materials including but not limited to cGMP raw materials, NON-cGMP raw materials, Common Supply, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI).

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $20.19 - $30.28 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
