Job summary

Smith+Nephew in Columbia, MD is seeking a Logistics Associate to ensure proper storage, staging, and receipt of GxP materials in our ERP system. You will support inventory control, shipping, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with FedEx/UPS shipping systems, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We value reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to compliance and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with shipping systems (FedEx/UPS) and ERP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under SOPs/specifications.
  • Stage incoming raw materials for processing.
  • Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP system.
  • Relocate staged and quarantined materials as directed.
  • Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in documents and ERP.
  • Perform housekeeping as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?
  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under the guidance and direction of departmental SOP's/specifications.
  • Stage incoming raw materials for further processing.
  • Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP system.
  • Relocate staged and quarantined materials to appropriate areas, as directed
  • Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing adjustments to documents and ERP.
  • Perform housekeeping as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you need to be successful?
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience/expectations: Below
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of FEDEX, UPS and other online systems used in shipping processes.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to initiate and retrieve tracking information from carrier.
  • High energy.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $20.19 - $30.28 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
