As a Logistics Assistant, the individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing competing demands under the direction of the SLS. The role provides development opportunities for individuals to advance into Logistics Supervisor roles and manage their own project assignments.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become proficient in the use of tools used in receiving and materials management at the project site.
- Assist in receiving project materials under the direction of the SLS, coordinating with cross-functional site teams.
- Generate and process Field and Purchase Requisitions, Material Receiving Reports, Storage Location Maps, inventory lists, delivery exception reports, and warranty documentation.
- Coordinate and schedule material deliveries, guiding Receiving and Offload crews on procedures for inspection, inventory, storage, and shipping documentation.
- Monitor Equipment Status Reports, work with the Project Team and Procurement to address schedule deviations of critical items, and update material status reports.
- Distribute material reports to support supplier invoice payments.
- Complete documentation related to incorporated materials for owner turnover, including logs, certs, test reports, and cut sheets.
- Follow safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure correct deliveries, execute shipment transactions, and maintain a 100% on-time shipment and order fill rate.
- Represent the company professionally, promoting its values and culture.
- Visit the field as needed to collect data, understand best practices, and work methods.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to give presentations to groups of 10 or more.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Previous logistics experience with planning, material management, and inventory tracking; knowledge of procurement is a plus.
- Aptitude for learning, problem-solving, and working in a construction project environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 0-1 year experience in project logistics preferred.
- High School diploma required; further studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related fields are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
Target base pay: $22-$25/hr
