Job summary

D&G Solutions in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Logistics Analyst SME to ground logistics modeling and simulation in real-world mission requirements, processes, constraints, and decision needs.

This position works across government stakeholders and technical teams to frame logistics use cases, validate source data and assumptions, define operational scenarios, and assess whether model behavior and outputs reflect mission conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in Federal Government or defense logistics, transportation, distribution, sustainment, or mobility operations.
• Deep knowledge of aircraft load planning, unmanned aerial systems, operational energy, or related equipment.
• Direct experience with DoD mobility, airlift, cargo movement, contested logistics, or UAS-enabled logistics.
• Understanding of operational logistics concepts, constraints, and performance measures.
• Experience with analytics, modeling, or decision-support teams to validate findings.
• Ability to work independently under high-pressure conditions.

Responsibilities

• Translate government objectives into analytical use cases for modeling.
• Define processes, decisions, and factors for simulation.
• Ensure credible operational employment for airlift/UAS cargo scenarios.
• Review data for accuracy and validate model outputs.
• Assist with trade-space, sensitivity, and stress-testing design.
• Translate results into actionable operational insights for stakeholders.
• Support workshops, briefings, and final deliverables.
