Job summary

D&G Solutions seeks an Operations Research Analyst to support Federal Government clients by designing, executing, and interpreting mission-level modeling and simulation for complex logistics challenges. This role develops robust simulation scenarios for heavy airlift and unmanned cargo concepts, evaluates trade-offs, and translates results into actionable ROI insights for decision makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years in defense ops research, military logistics analysis, or mission-level modeling/simulation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong experience with discrete-event and/or agent-based simulation packages.
• Experience presenting modeling/results to Federal Government stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of modeling/simulation in logistics/decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute modeling and simulation algorithms/tools for logistics use cases, focusing on heavy airlift and UAS cargo.
• Develop repeatable simulation scenarios addressing defined logistics use cases and decision questions.
• Conduct trade-space analyses between manned and unmanned platform capabilities.
• Evaluate payload, runway independence, turnaround times, and network throughput.
• Design and run sensitivity analyses to identify vulnerabilities and tipping points.
• Assess conditions like degraded communications and denied runways for UAS impact.
• Synthesize simulation outputs into actionable operational insights.
• Identify capability gaps and develop ROI narratives for government stakeholders.
• Translate quantitative findings into decision-ready analytics connecting outputs to mission impact.
