Job summary

D&G Solutions is seeking a Logistics Operations Research / Systems Analyst (ORSA) to support Federal Government clients by applying operations research, systems analysis, and advanced analytics to complex logistics and sustainment challenges.

This role develops quantitative models, evaluates operational alternatives, and delivers decision-ready recommendations that improve mission readiness, resource utilization, and logistics performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• 15+ years of experience in operations research, logistics analysis, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations including transportation, distribution, inventory, and capacity planning.
• Experience developing optimization or simulation models and forecasting methods.
• Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for executives.
• Experience with trade-space analyses and sensitivity analyses; can evaluate risk and bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead and chief engineer for assigned efforts.
• Translate objectives into analytical problems, measures, assumptions, constraints, and decision criteria.
• Develop and execute optimization, simulation, forecasting, and statistical models for logistics decisions.
• Evaluate alternative courses of action and conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses.
• Perform sensitivity analyses, scenario modeling, and stress testing across varied environments.
• Collaborate with data engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and SMEs to validate models and prepare data.
• Translate quantitative findings into executive briefings, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
• Present findings to senior government leaders and stakeholders; support strategic planning and mission engineering.
• Lead project execution and ensure quality delivery of objectives.

Education

Master's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field
