Overview

Summary:
We are looking for a Logistics Analyst to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division of the Measurement Science and Engineering Department, which performs metrology, tests, and monitoring systems assessments supporting the Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program.
As a Logistics Analyst, you will analyze and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, data-driven, and a team player who can help streamline operations.
This is a part-time remote position.

Responsibilities
  1. Research and investigate new approaches to business processes and work package definitions.
  2. Analyze and recommend organizational structures and process reengineering for METCAL support aligned with high-level policies.
  3. Conduct resource analyses related to METCAL projects, assessing impacts in compliance with Navy and NAVAIR initiatives.
  4. Recommend productivity improvements, including facility, personnel, and technology solutions.
  5. Support laboratory data products and maintain technical data libraries, monitor calibration issues, and manage technical reports.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
  7. Utilize logistics software to optimize routes, inventory, and warehouse operations.
  8. Prepare and present data-driven reports and forecasts to management.
  9. Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with company goals.
  10. Identify and resolve logistics issues promptly.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel; experience with logistics software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of experience, or a master's degree with 4 years, or a high school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Pre-employment drug screening clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project management and process optimization skills are advantageous.

The salary for this position is $49.68 per hour.
