The position requires the ability to handle fast-paced work, training of staff, and coordination of container movements with NAVIS and other systems. The job is non-exempt and located at the Gainesville Inland Port.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Experience in shipping operations is a plus.
• TWIC card required upon hire; valid driver's license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties: filing, mail distribution, copying, answering phones, processing shipping orders.
• Keeps time cards for hourly personnel; familiar with shift, overtime, benefits policies.
• Serves as Customer Experience Center for Gainesville Inland Port.
• Enters and processes orders in NAVIS and terminal systems; verifies information before processing.
• Communicates orders to yard operators and maintenance personnel.
• Processes service orders for billing (dig moves, stack relocations, gate overtime).
• Updates inventory in computer systems reflecting on-port changes.
• Coordinates movement of containers within Gainesville Inland Port; plans import/export/empty containers.
