Job summary

Charger logistics Inc. is seeking a Weekend Dispatcher to monitor shipments during the afternoon shift (1pm–9pm CST). You will communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams, update records, and coordinate pickups to ensure efficient transportation operations and excellent customer service.

We value candidates with 2+ years in transportation and logistics, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Competitive pay package offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and account management experience in transportation and logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track shipments during the afternoon shift with real-time visibility.

• Update portals, systems, and shipment records with timely information.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments meeting customer requirements.
• Identify and resolve service disruptions and other operational exceptions.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with timely solutions and follow-up.
• Prepare and distribute overnight reports to overnight and daytime teams.
• Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Work Schedule:

Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday - 1pm - 9pm CST

We´re looking for a Weekend Dispatcher who is responsible for weekend shipment monitoring, customer communication, track and trace activities, exception management, appointment coordination, operational reporting, and proactive problem resolution to ensure efficient transportation operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track active shipments throughout afternoon hours, maintaining real-time visibility and service performance.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and operational issues.
• Update customer portals, systems, and shipment records with accurate and timely information.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Identify, elevate, and resolve service disruptions, delays, load recoveries, and other operational exceptions.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely solutions and follow-up.
• Prepare and distribute overnight reports, ensuring all critical updates and exceptions are communicated to the overnight and daytime operations team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• 2+ years of sales and account management experience in transportation and logistics field is preferred.
• Ability to understand the business processing requirements using technology and conceptualize creative solutions to implement them.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of land transportation.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills & strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
