COMPANY

Our Client is a 30+ year old, asset-based Third-Party Logistics and Packaging Company. Their services include warehousing, repackaging, bulk-transferring, cross-docking, drayage, fulfillment, and local deliveries within the retailer, apparel, and food industries. They offer over 500,000 sq. feet of warehousing space located near the ports of Los Angeles, CA, and Newark, NJ.

LOCATION

Summary:

The Director of Sales will be responsible for growing the organization’s warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, and food repacking services across the United States. This position will oversee onboarding of new clients, focus on renewal strategies, and explore other business opportunities with current clients, particularly within the retail, skincare, beauty products, apparel, and dry food industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and establish a strong understanding of company's service offerings and capabilities.
  • Create a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan, emphasizing new client acquisition.
  • Identify prospective clients and opportunities aligned with the organization’s competencies and services.
  • Evaluate current programs and implement both short- and long-term strategies.
  • Plan, organize, and build a sales and support team.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of contacts.
  • Build influential relationships with multiple contacts within key clients.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with internal ownership, Operations, and support teams.
  • Participate in customer visits, quarterly QBRs, and serve as a conduit for escalations and issue resolution.
  • Stay knowledgeable of competitors and industry trends.
  • Develop goals, policies, and procedures for the sales organization.
  • Develop KPIs for sales targets within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as specified by management.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; higher education advantageous.
  • 5+ years experience in 3PL, Contract Logistics, and e-commerce industries.
  • Proven solution-oriented and consultative sales approach.
  • Established book of business in relevant industry verticals such as retail, skincare, beauty, apparel, and dry food.
  • Deep experience with solutions-based sales, passionate about success, and owning the customer experience from initiation to contract execution.
