Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Logistics II professional in Piney Flats, Tennessee to help keep production schedules on track by managing material movements and inventory accuracy.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract with a first shift (6:00 AM–3:30 PM). Gain hands-on SAP and warehouse operations experience in the aviation-supporting logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically 2–4 years of logistics, warehouse, or material handling experience.
• Certification for powered industrial trucks (forklifts, reach trucks) or ability to obtain.
• Experience using scanners and basic SAP transactions.
• Ability to interpret kit lists, pick lists, and inventory documentation with minimal clarification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and package orders with a high level of accuracy, including more complex material requirements.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials for quantity, condition, and documentation accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment when certified.
• Perform cycle counts, stock rotation, and bin audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Use warehouse management systems, including SAP, scanners, and related tools to record transactions and monitor inventory.
• Identify shortages, mislabeled materials, inventory mismatches, and other discrepancies, then take corrective action within guidelines.
• Support kitting, line feeding, and preparation of production materials as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics, production, and inventory teams to address material availability issues.
• Interpret kit lists, pick lists, and inventory documentation with minimal supervision.
• Complete routine logistics responsibilities independently while maintaining quality and accuracy.

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Logistics II professional in Piney Flats, Tennessee . Position Details

What You'll Do

As a Logistics II team member, you'll work with greater independence while supporting multiple warehouse and production functions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Pick, stage, and package orders with a high level of accuracy, including more complex material requirements.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring a strong foundation in warehouse and logistics operations, including:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically 2–4 years of logistics, warehouse, or material handling experience .
• Current certification or ability to obtain certification for powered industrial trucks, including forklifts, reach trucks, or similar equipment.
• Experience using scanners and performing basic SAP or warehouse management system transactions.
• Ability to interpret kit lists, pick lists, and inventory documentation with minimal clarification.
• Solid problem-solving skills for common inventory and material-flow issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates will stand out with:

• Previous experience supporting manufacturing, production, aerospace, or aviation operations .
• Hands-on experience with SAP or a similar warehouse management system.
• Current forklift, reach truck, or order picker certification.
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, kitting, and production material preparation.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse or production environment.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and containers weighing approximately 35–50 pounds , with mechanical assistance used for heavier items.
• Bend, reach, and stoop to access materials in lower and upper storage locations.
• Operate pallet jacks and other non-powered material handling equipment, with training provided as needed.
• Wear required PPE, which may include safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
