Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Avionics/Electrical Technician in Savannah, GA. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical systems to ensure safety, reliability, and on‑time production.

You’ll work with blueprints and engineering specifications, perform functional tests, document work for inspections, and adhere to safety, 5‑S, and FAA/industry standards. Weekend day shift with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years avionics/electrical experience or 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling + 2 years experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Install and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Diagnose and repair defective wiring and components using techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.
• Set up and operate test equipment and perform functional/operational testing.
• Complete engineering changes and aircraft modifications.
• Document completed work and prepare aircraft for inspection.
• Maintain test equipment and electronic systems.
• Follow all safety, FOD, tool control, and 5‑S requirements.
• Support aircraft certification/final testing and flight tests when required.
• May provide backup support to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician.

Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $32.19/hour | Schedule: Weekend Day Shift (5am – 5:30pm and Monday: 5:00am-9:00am)

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician. In this hands‑on role, you’ll test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems—helping ensure safe, reliable aircraft while keeping production schedules on track.

What You’ll Do

• Test, troubleshoot, install, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Install and functionally test components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace industry experience.
• FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license.
• FCC certification.
• NCATT certification.
• Experience with additional aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
