Food Microbiological Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Admin/Data Entry Technician for our food testing lab. The role offers 3–5 days per week with a potential transition to full-time based on performance, and includes 8-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate will handle administrative tasks, answer calls, email clients, and ensure accurate data entry into the LIMS. Attention to detail, reliability, and punctual attendance are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong computer/typing skills (40-50 words per minute)
• Strong attention to detail and good organization skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to work between the hours of 10am-8pm weekdays and possibly weekends
• Must have punctual and reliable attendance
• Clean background check—no criminal convictions

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and email clients; filing and preparing outgoing orders.
• Reconcile incoming samples with client documents and ensure request information is complete.
• Follow SOPs for chain of custody, sample management and client services; document temperatures and missing information.
• Enter sample descriptions and tests into the LIMS accurately.
• Perform quality control checks in the LIMS to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Maintain a get-the-job-done attitude with attention to detail.
• Other duties as necessary.

Admin/data entry technician for a food testing laboratory. Offer is 3 to 5 days per week with an opportunity to transition to full-time (8hr, 5 days/week) with excellent performance.

Responsibilities include

• Administrative duties, including answering phone calls, corresponding with clients via email, filing, preparing outgoing orders, etc.
• Reconcile incoming samples against documents from the client, ensuring sample request information is complete
• Follow all standard operating procedures for chain of custody, sample management and client services, including proper documentation of temperatures and identifying missing information
• Accurately and efficiently enter sample descriptions and tests into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
• Perform detailed quality control checks on all samples in the LIMS system. We strive for 100% accuracy, free of testing/typographical errors.
• Ideal candidates would have a strong attention to detail and a get the job done attitude
• Other duties as necessary

Pay Rate
