Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Longview Log Sort/Export Yard is seeking a qualified Log Scaler to join our team. This role is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to supporting an efficient, high-quality operation in a customer-driven export environment.

You will work outdoors in all weather, using handheld computers and scaling equipment, with opportunities to progress to the Master Log Scaler rate after demonstrating competency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a log scaler with sorting/grading knowledge.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and follow safety rules.
• Familiarity with handheld electronic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform log scaling, grading, and accountability.
• Operate in yard and dock during vessel loading.
• Maintain clean, safe workstations.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a small crew.
