Job summary

Ultipro in Oakland, IA is seeking a Machine Operator for the log press on the 2nd shift. You will set up equipment per production schedule, monitor operations, calibrate systems, record temperatures and measurements, and work with maintenance to keep line running safely.

Candidates typically have a high school diploma and 0–1 year experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing on a noisy production floor, and strict GMP/safety

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in related field preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
• Ability to perform comparative analysis and make recommendations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and follow a designated recipe.
• Basic understanding of units of measure and their applications.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment daily per production schedule and disassemble at day end for sanitation.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot basic malfunctions, notify supervision and maintenance when needed.
• Data recording, entry, and adjustment as needed.
• Calibrate systems to time, temperature, and equipment positions.
• Record and interpret temperatures related to the process.
• Use, read and record measuring devices and product parameters.
• Work with maintenance to implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Notify management if unusual or out of spec operations are identified.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with policy.
• Take ownership and responsibility for equipment and machinery.
