QPS Employment Group is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. Work hours are 1:30pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a starting wage of $15.00 to $20.00 per hour.

The role involves operating production machines, monitoring performance, and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities include loading materials, documenting production logs, and coordinating with auxiliary staff to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
  • Technical or vocational training in printing, manufacturing, or mechanical operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, printing, or production is preferred.

Job description

Position Title: Production Operator - 2nd Shift
Wage: $15.00 - $20.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Production Operator Responsibilities:

  • Prepare production machines for operation, adjusting settings to the required output format for printed materials
  • Continuously monitor and adjust machine parameters during production to maintain optimal performance and quality
  • Load paper sheets and other components into machines in accordance with production specifications
  • Initiate machine operations and oversee the production process
  • Inspect in-process products to ensure compliance with quality standards; make adjustments as needed
  • When performing manual tasks, ensure the quality of finished products through careful handling and inspection
  • Count, label, and store finished products according to established procedures
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of auxiliary staff assisting at the assigned machine
  • Accurately complete production records and documentation as required by company directives
  • Follow and enforce all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Plant
  • Act upon and contribute to an environment that prioritizes safety as a top priority

Requirements for Production Operator:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Technical or vocational training in printing, manufacturing, or mechanical operations is a plus
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred
  • Experience operating production machinery or working with mechanical equipment is an advantage but not mandatory
  • training will be provided
  • Experience working in a quality-focused and fast-paced environment beneficial
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification is a plus
  • Basic understanding of English to comprehend work instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Ability to accurately perform basic math functions such as counting production quantities and completing production logs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, safety instructions, and product specifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to identify and address minor operational issues during production
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to remain focused and productive under deadline-driven conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs, perform repetitive movements, and stand, walk, or remain physically active for extended periods
  • Ability to work long shifts in physically demanding conditions
