Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a trauma surgeon to cover Level II trauma cases in Des Moines, IA. The schedule includes 15 shifts per month with day/night, 12-hour rotations, and one clinic day per week on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities include adult, geriatric, and pediatric trauma and EGS cases, ICU coverage, and both surgical procedures and outpatient follow-up. Fellows in critical care are preferred; malpractice is prepaid, and travel/housing are provided.

Qualifications

• Level II Trauma center experience required.
• Trauma surgery training required; no EGS-only providers.
• Fellowship trained in critical care.
