Job summary

BAS HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurovascular surgery team in Richmond, VA. Locum coverage for 3 12-hour shifts per week is required, with 7a–7p and 7p–7a availability in a 100% inpatient setting.

You will respond to code strokes, provide post-procedure inpatient care, document in EPIC, and meet Virginia licensure, AANP board certification, ACLS and BLS requirements, plus prior neurocritical care nursing exposure.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP with neurovascular surgery exposure.
• Active Virginia state license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Neurocritical care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for 3 12-hour shifts per week (7a–7p, 7p–7a).
• Respond to code strokes as part of the neurointerventional team.
• Post-procedure inpatient care for neurointerventional patients.
• Document in EPIC EMR; inpatient/hospital-based practice.

Job Details:

• Provide coverage for 3 12-hour shifts per week on a locum basis until a permanent provider is hired
• Shifts available are 7a-7p and 7p-7a; availability for night shifts is required
• Respond to code strokes as part of the neurointerventional surgery team
• Provide post-procedure inpatient care for neurointerventional surgery patients
• 100% inpatient/hospital-based practice setting
• Patient population is adult and geriatric only
• Document using EPIC EMR system
• Board Certification through AANP is required
• Active Virginia state license required
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Neurocritical care nursing experience required
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required - no exceptions
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 120 days; temporary credentialing available
• Travel reimbursements approved for airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate

Compensation:
