Job summary

77 consultants seeks an inpatient neurosurgery physician for a mid-December 2026 through April 2027 temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, with 40 hours per week.

The role focuses on adult and geriatric inpatient care and post-procedural management using EPIC EMR. Responsibilities include patient/family communication and education and collaboration with the neurosurgery NP.

Qualifications

• Board certification is required for the role.
• Active Virginia medical license is required (no licensure delays).
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Active DEA registration is required.
• A clean professional background with no malpractice or license issues is required.

Responsibilities

• Post-procedural daily patient care.
• Communication and education of patients and families.
• Collaborate with a neurosurgery nurse practitioner employed at the facility.
