Premier Anesthesia is seeking a Locum Staffing Scheduler to coordinate provider schedules and coverage for locum and transition staffing needs. The role acts as the liaison among recruiters, operations, credentialing, travel, payroll, invoicing, agency partners, and anesthesia providers to translate staffing needs into reliable schedules.

Competenze

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Two or more years of experience supporting healthcare staffing, locum tenens, physician services, anesthesia, hospital operations, or another complex clinical scheduling environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple schedules, competing priorities, urgent changes, and detailed data with a high degree of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, provider scheduling, credentialing dependencies, travel coordination, and healthcare staffing workflows.
• Experience coordinating coverage across multiple facilities, markets, or provider groups.
• Experience using scheduling software, CRM or applicant tracking systems, and reporting tools to monitor open shifts, confirmations, cancellations, and coverage risks.
• Ability to work the position’s established schedule and provide flexibility outside standard business hours when coverage needs require it.

Mansioni

• Coordinate provider schedules for assigned facilities to meet approved requests, provider qualifications, contractual parameters, and facility requirements.
• Maintain provider availability, assignment preferences, restrictions, and confirmed commitments in scheduling systems.
• Confirm assignments with providers and distribute schedules on time. Monitor for gaps, conflicts, and changes; escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate schedule changes, cancellations, replacements, and urgent coverage requests with recruiters, leadership, providers, and agency partners.
• Maintain communications with temporary clinicians for shift confirmations, onboarding, and related tasks.
• Support credentialing and onboarding to ensure assignment readiness and avoid scheduling when required checkpoints aren’t complete.
• Build relationships with clinicians, onsite leaders, facility contacts, agencies, and internal stakeholders; use consultative approach to resolve barriers.
