BNSF Railway’s Mechanical Department seeks a Mechanical Foreman II at Commerce, CA to supervise shop staff, coordinate complex maintenance, and ensure safe, timely locomotive and railcar repairs. On-site role with travel may be required. Training is on the job, relocation assistance available.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and adherence to policies while supporting daily schedules and equipment readiness for efficient rail transportation.

Formación

• Coordinate information from several sources to move cars and locomotives.
• Supervise and motivate scheduled (union represented) employees.
• Demonstrate initiative and decisiveness and inspire others to excel.
• Must have basic accounting and computer skills and analyze computer reports.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, resolve conflicts.

Responsabilidades

• Directly supervise shop craft employees to safely execute terminal or shop operating plan.
• Ensure labor and equipment is positioned to inspect, test and repair equipment according to daily plan.
• Prepare and conduct job safety briefings with all employees.
• Provide periodic updates to General Foreman to ensure daily plan requirements are met.
• Schedule repairs away from terminal to return equipment to service quickly.
• Provide technical support to apprentice employees.
• Provide information to assess equipment damage and derailment recovery processes.
• Ensure compliance with employment policies, safety rules, and FRA/AAR regulations.
• Conduct operational testing to support safety action plans.
