Job summary

Mobile Rail Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Driver/Service Technician to support 24/7 locomotive servicing operations in Illinois. You will operate company vehicles, perform servicing tasks, and complete required logs and reports, while following safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a valid license and the ability to work flexible shifts. Candidates should have at least 1 year of driving experience, a strong safety mindset, and good communication skills to interact with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial or professional driving experience.
• Valid Class C driver’s license; Class A/B CDL preferred.
• Acceptable DMV/MVR record as part of pre-employment checks.
• Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform locomotive servicing according to established schedules and procedures
• Ensure the truck is properly loaded with the required tools, supplies, and safety equipment
• Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company driving policies
• Maintain effective communication with management and customers regarding service status
• Comply with all railroad safety rules, job briefings, and PPE requirements
• Complete driver logs, service reports, and required documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain familiarity with assigned rail yard locations, access requirements, safety rules, regulatory policies, and procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on servicing equipment
• Warehouse additional duties as assigned
