Job summary

Siemens AG in Sacramento, CA seeks an Assembler I for Final Assembly in the Locomotive department. You will assemble locomotive components, finalize high/low voltage connections, install piping and windshields, and rework parts as needed.

The role requires 1 year in manufacturing, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints. Background check is standard; on-site work in a non-climate-controlled environment may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing or similar setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with high/low voltage electricity and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble locomotives assemblies, including roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, panels, air racks, and piping.
• Finalize high and low voltage connections inside/outside the locomotive.
• Install piping with copper and stainless-steel connections.
• Install windshield on locomotives.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components as required.
• Follow production blueprints, measure/cut pipes, and respect wiring lists and instructions.
