Job summary

Siemens Mobility in California is seeking an Assembler I in Final Assembly, Locomotive department. You will assemble locomotives, install roofs, cables, panels, and piping while ensuring high/low voltage integrity and adherence to blueprints.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to read diagrams, with opportunities to fix and refurbish components as needed. You will work from production blueprints, measure and cut piping, and handle various power and hand tools in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of manufacturing or similar experience preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with high and low voltage electricity (automotive/engine mechanics, electrician, alarm systems, lineman).
• Experience with plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler systems, and compressed air lines in a warehouse environment.
• Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble locomotives in Final Assembly; install roofs, cable harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, panels, air racks, and piping assemblies.
• Finalize high and low voltage connections inside/outside the locomotive.
• Install and finalize piping with copper and stainless-steel connections.
• Install locomotives windshield; perform disassembly, rework, and refurbishment as needed.
• Work from blueprints or diagrams; measure and cut copper/stainless-steel pipes for plumbing fixtures; follow parts and wire lists.
