R.J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC is seeking safety-minded Locomotive Engineers to join our Osceola, AR team. You will assist in the safe daily operation of trains, operate locomotives and yard equipment, and work with customers to ensure precise car placement.

The role includes potential progression to Conductor duties, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork in outdoor rail environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and physical capacity test.
• Ability to operate locomotives and perform associated rail yard tasks.
• Demonstrated safety-minded approach to daily operations.

• Operates track switches, couples cars, and works on trains in yard operations.
• Moves and aligns various parts of rail equipment to create or build trains.
• Performs multiple tasks safely, including pulling, controlling, and maneuvering onto and off of equipment.
• Works with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of cars.
• Assumes increasing responsibilities, including the ability to perform Conductor duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

R.J. Corman is currently seeking safety minded Locomotive Engineers to join our team in Osceola, AR.

Responsibilities

• Operates track switches, couples cars, and works on trains in yard operations.
• Moves and aligns various parts of rail equipment to create or build trains.
• Performs multiple tasks safely, including pulling, controlling, and maneuvering onto and off of equipment.

Specialized Or Technical Knowledge, Education And Experience

• Ability to operate equipment according to company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Ability to work with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of railcars.
• Ability to perform and eventually assume Conductor responsibilities.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check, drug test, and physical capacity test.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform physically strenuous work.
• Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner.
• Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Able to push and pull with up to 150 lbs. of force.

Environmental Conditions

• Performs duties primarily in outdoor environments.
• Works in and around moving locomotives, railcars, vehicles, and equipment.
• Frequent exposure to weather elements.
• Appropriate PPE required.
