Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Locksmith to keep our properties secure and guests safe. You will install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking systems, manage access control, and respond to urgent lock issues while coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and licenses or certifications as required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience in repair, installation, and maintenance of locking devices, with applicable license/certification/registration.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices using hand tools and special equipment.
• Determine key cutting and duplication methods, stamp codes on keys, and manage key records.
• Issue keys for interior and exterior areas, equipment, cabinets/furniture and related items; maintain records and respond to emergencies.
• Set up and maintain a master key system and use computer programs for keying and specification writing.
• Maintain inventory of locks and components, order blanks and parts as needed, and inspect locking systems for safety and compliance.
